This course is for Early Years staff in Foundation Stage settings and schools with responsibilities for supporting individual children with speech and language difficulties.

This is a standalone course exploring Speech, Language and Communication.
This session will cover:
- how language normally develops and how to identify speech, language and communication difficulties
- strategies to support speech, language and communication development
The session will provide participants with:
- an increased understanding of Speech, Language and Communication difficulties (SLCN)
- a range of strategies to effectively support children with SLCN
- increased confidence in recording targets and outcomes on SEND Support Plans for particular areas of need
- opportunities to review policies and practices in their setting to reduce barriers to achievement and inclusion
