Walk 10 - The Chattri – short loop

Bus number 5, 5a from Ladies Mile stop

1. From the bus stop outside the Ladies Mile pub walk up Vale Avenue which takes you to Horsedean Recreation Ground.
2. Turn right and follow the track up to the right, keeping between the trees and the fence at the back of the houses. Turn first left taking you across the footbridge, over the bypass, and left again.
3. Follow the concrete road up to the other side of the valley where you come to a junction.
4. Turn right and pass through the small gate to the left of the track taking you into the field. Keep to the left across the field until you come to a gate directly under the electricity pylons.
5. Go through the gate and head up to the Chattri. Then retrace your steps until you pass the copse of woods to your left. Then turn left and head straight down.
6. Then retrace your steps until you pass the copse of woods to your left. Then turn left and head straight down the hill (with the rifle range to the left).
7. Head towards the gate at the lane at the bottom of the hill. Go through the gate and turn right. Follow the lane back to the junction (point 4).
8. Turn left and retrace steps back to the bus stop, via Horsedean Recreation Ground and Vale Avenue.
