Walk 15 – Mile Oak to Mt Zion Loop

About this walk
This walk starts at Mile Oak Farm – a family run farm on the South Downs on the western side of Brighton & Hove.
There is a farm shop, café and toilet at the farmyard, where there are grazing donkeys and horses in the surrounding fields.
The walk follows well defined farm tracks up to Mt Zion on the Downs with glorious views out across the downland.
Note the footpath back, adjacent to the A27, does include a couple of stiles to negotiate.

Directions
Bus numbers 1x, 55 at Chrisdory Road stop
- From the bus stop head towards the Downs, under the bypass and then into Mileoak Farm. Continue straight ahead along the track until you come to a track to your right with a blue bridleway arrow.
- Go through the gate and follow the track to the next gate.
- At this junction take the left hand track up the hill passing through another gate.
- Follow the track to the T Junction and turn right, you will now be walking back towards the town.
- Passing a dew pond on your left, continue down the gravel track until you get to a field edge path on your right . Turn right and continue on this grassy path.
- Continue on this path to a stile, up and over a hill to the next stile.
- You will now see Mile Oak Farm infront of you. Follow the track through the gate and on through another gate into the farm yard.
- Take a left and follow the path through the yard back to the underpass.
- Turn left and continue under the underpass to bring you back to the bus stop.
