Cityparks staff and representatives from Proludic Ltd, which is building the new playground, will be at The Level on Thursday 27 August 2026, from 3pm to 6pm.
People will be able to find out more about the plans before work starts, look at the designs, and see the new equipment and layout.
We’re building a completely new and inclusive adventure playground experience for all ages and abilities at The Level
All The Level’s existing playground equipment has reached the end of its life and needs to be removed and replaced to keep it safe.
Construction work in the playground area is due to start week beginning 7 September 2026.
The area will be fenced off from that time, for around 10 weeks, subject to weather conditions. No access will be allowed to the playground area during this time, and parents and carers should ensure their children do not go into the fenced play area. Visitors should extra take extra care around the park’s perimeter pedestrian and cycle paths.
We’ll have an official re-opening celebration event towards the end of the year for all to enjoy.
