About this map

This interactive map allows users to search for an address and view properties and land covered by Tree Preservation Orders, along with Conservation Area boundaries. This map should be used first for any questions about TPOs and Conservation Areas.

If a tree is protected by a Tree Preservation Order or is located within a Conservation Area, works can only be carried out with the council's permission unless the works are exempt under relevant legislation.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the data, Tree Preservation Orders and Conservation Areas are subject to change and amendment and we will not accept any liability sustained as a result of reliance on this data.

How to use the map

  • Enter the property address in the search bar.
  • Select the correct address from the list of search results. The search may return similar addresses, so make sure to check the address carefully.
  • Click on the selected address to view available information.
  • If a Tree Preservation Order applies, it will be displayed with a TPO reference number. A TPO number confirms that a Tree Preservation Order affects the property.
  • If no TPO is shown, the property may still lie within a Conservation Area. Conservation Areas can also be checked on the map under the 'Other Information Layers' section.
