Access during construction

Access to premises will be maintained. When working immediately in front of properties, the contractor will liaise with occupants and owners in advance.

Contact details for the contractor will be provided to frontages ahead of work starting in each section and temporary provision for loading will be provided.

Road closures

The A259 will be kept open throughout most of the works. Some closures will be necessary for overnight resurfacing. This will be for short periods and advertised in advance.

Side roads will need to be closed when work is happening next to junctions because of the space available. This will be for short durations, and alternative routes will be provided.

Night construction works

In order to minimise disruption for those using the A259, we'll need to complete some work at night.

We'll keep night work to a minimum to reduce noise for residents. The night work will only be required for the resurfacing.

Access for events

Events that pass through the area, will continue to take place. Adjustments to work areas will be made as necessary in advance of these events.
