Changes to council services over the bank holiday weekend.

Homemove unavailable 28 to 31 August

Due to planned maintenance work, Homemove will be unavailable from 6pm Friday 28 August until 11.59pm Monday 31 August 2026. We apologise for any inconvenience. Bidding will be extended for issue 551 until 2pm Thursday 3 September.

Choose the right support or care home
What to think about before you consider a care home, and the types of care homes there are. Sometimes care homes are known as nursing, residential, rest or retirement homes.
Seniors housing
Seniors Housing is for older people who want to live independently, but need some support. In Brighton & Hove this used to be called sheltered housing.

Supported Housing Strategy 2027 to 2032
We're developing a new supported housing strategy. Work on a needs assessment is underway. We will be consulting on a draft strategy in autumn 2026.
