Keeping residents informed

Residents helped shape the final design proposals for the site, being involved in the early design competition stages and through the Planning consultation process.

Residents’ feedback on the design proposals before planning resulted in changes being made. These changes included:

  • reducing the number of new homes from 4 to 3
  • increasing the distance from the new properties to the site boundary
  • removing roof terraces
  • retaining vehicle access to 4 private garages

Earlier in 2024 we advised residents about work to clear the site. We also secured the unused council garages in response to safety concerns.

Now work is underway there will be a ‘meet the contactor’ event before the main construction phase starts on site in spring 2025. Details of this event will be shared with residents nearer the time.
