About the single person's Council Tax discount
You could get a single person's Council Tax discount if you're the only adult, 18 years old or over, living in your household. If you own more than 1 property, you can only get a discount on your main property.
If you're no longer the only adult living in your property, stop your single person Council Tax discount.
How much the discount is
A single person's Council Tax discount is a 25% reduction on your Council Tax bill.
What you should do while you wait for a decision
Whilst waiting for a decision you should continue to pay. We'll adjust and issue an amended bill taking that into account once the discount is applied.
