Get support from a Shared Lives carer
Find out how to get support from a Shared Lives carer if you need it.
How to get support from a Shared Lives carer
If you are looking for support from a Shared Lives carer, contact your social worker, care manager or support officer and they can refer you to us.
Once we get a referral, we'll work with you, your family if appropriate, and professionals involved in your support to understand your needs and determine whether Shared Lives is the right option for you.
If you’re suitable for the scheme, we’ll match you to a carer. You’ll both have the chance to get to know each other at your own pace before making any commitments.
If you don't have a social worker, care manager, or support officer
If you don't have a social worker, care manager, or support officer, you can contact Access Point. This is our contact centre for Adult Social Care. Someone will help you complete an assessment.
Access Point is the main point of contact for Adult Social Care.
