About disabled parking bays
Find out information about disabled parking bays and Blue Badges.
Parking in disabled parking bays
We have disabled bays so Blue Badge holders can park close to their destination. You can only park in a disabled bay if you're a Blue Badge holder, and you must display the badge properly.
The Blue Badge must be used in accordance with the Department for Transport's Blue Badge Scheme Conditions of Use.
Disabled parking bay restrictions
The sign on the street will tell you when the disabled parking bay operates. If no times are shown, the bay operates 24 hours a day, every day.
When parking in a disabled parking bay, you should check that your Blue Badge is displayed in accordance with the Department for Transport's Blue Badge Scheme Conditions of Use.
Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) for parking in a disabled parking bay
If a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) sees you parked in a disabled parking bay without a correctly displayed Blue Badge, we can issue a Regulation 10 PCN by post. This will be sent to the registered keeper of the vehicle.
You can then either pay the PCN or appeal the PCN.
