When we'll do the weed treatment

When treatment will take place

Treatments are planned to run from May to September 2026.

Number of treatments

We are planning two rounds of treatment, each lasting approximately 6 to 10 weeks.

  • May to July 2026
  • July to September 2026 

Work will start in the east and west of the city and move towards the centre

Informing residents

Exact dates and streets cannot be confirmed in advance due to weather, resources and operational progress. Schedules may change at short notice. Streets with no visible weeds will not be treated.

Debris removal

Environmental Services Operatives will remove dead vegetation 2–4 weeks after treatment.
